These amazing hands have spent a lifetime weaving and working. Such is the life of all of the women on Isla Taquile, a spectacular island on the Peru side of Lake Titicaca. She is weaving a calendar, a long piece of textile with symbols to represent the months and seasons of the year, as her ancestors have done for generation upon generation.
This is a gorgeous print on linen-textured paper, mounted to a thin foam board. The effect is rich and "painterly", a truly unique presentation! Recommended framing is just frame and backing, with no glass. Glass negates the linen's effect. This is a signed print.
